He shook his head, heading towards the door.
She melted at his words and buried his face in his chest. "I love you too, Warner."
He glanced over in her direction sharply. "I don't need to tell you anything."
"I know," she said, her voice muffled and sounding as if a sob was welling up in her throat. "That's what made it so *squee!*ty."
He fell silent before pushing himself up into a sitting position. "I'm going to go shower."
She shrugged helplessly, wiping at her eyes. "It happened with Luke. One day I was a person that he didn't love anymore."
This seemed to touch a nerve and he replied hotly. "I did believe you once, Aspen, and it almost killed me."
"I just... I didn't..." She shook her head. "I thought you had fallen out of love with me."
