“Isn’t it?”
“I love you, Warner. I don’t want to forget you.”
“No. You just left.”
She frowned, looking upset. “I don’t want to forget you.”
“You didn’t mess up. You just left.”
“Yeah. You know, I gotta go back once this is all over. Will I still remember you?”
“It makes me sad too.”
She laughed slightly before pausing. “Warner, what’s going to happen when I go back?”
“It’s not good, but there’s nothing to be done.”
"I would hope that you would know me. You said you loved me."
"Don't cry, okay? This isn't a terrible thing."
"Is it?" she mused. "I would hope that you would know me well enough at this point."
"C'mon, Aspen. Don't make me doubt my sense of hearing too. I know you're crying."
"Nah. I was teasing you," she said, reaching up for him.
"I can hear that you're crying," he said eventually. "Don't cry, Aspen, please don't cry."
She frowned for a moment before laughing at him playfully. "Right. Don't worry."
"Because you left, Aspen," he said tiredly. "You left me."
“I didn’t think you’d actually do it.”
“You don’t love me,” he told her, frowning. “You can’t say that.”
She frowned at him, sitting up slightly. “I don’t think I like that. That makes me sad.”
