"Don't be sad, please."
She frowned, looking irritated. "Well, then, what exactly do you propose I do, Warner?"
He paused before kissing her quietly, his hand coming to rest on her jaw.
She shrugged, pulling away slightly. "I could, though. I'm 22. I've lived a good life. When I go back to Earth, I want to be able to be with you."
He frowned, shaking his head. "Please don't do that."
She was quiet for a second. "I could kill myself when I get back to Earth."
He was quiet for a moment, moving up to kiss her. "I did miss you."
"Well, I'll be leaving the Inferno soon enough, so you'll just have to hold out for a while."
"Because I'm not cute, Aspen," he murmured, moving her around gently to kiss her stomach.
She laughed slightly, wrapping her arms and legs around him. "You'll allow it?"
"It makes me sad," he replied, ducking his head to kiss her back again.
"Nope," she said primly, reaching out for him.
He considered him with a frown. “Don’t say that.”
“Pretty sure,” she said with a shrug, taking her glasses off the side table and perching them on her nose.
He propped his chin, looking in her general direction. "Kissing you."
"I couldn't."
He frowned before leaning down to kiss her back gently.
She grinned, lying back on the pillows comfortably. "I could never be rude."
His brow furrowed and he was quiet for a moment before looking down at her, his fingers rubbing her skin gently. "What happened?"
"Love you too," she grumbled, sitting up. "Ass."
