He rested his head on the table tiredly. "So, what's the plan after this?"
"Nope. That's not how it works."
"Oh, alright," she said, relaxing as she curled up next to Sariel. "Are you going to sleep?"

"Of course," she said, looking over at him with a small smile. It dropped after a moment and she considered him. "What were you going to ask?"

She continued to stroke his hair gently as he drifted off, her fingers soothing. "You okay?" she asked Warner in a low tone.
