"Alright," Addie said affectionately, running her fingers through Sariel's hair. "Go to sleep."
"Do I love you?" he asked quietly, heading to his bed with her in tow.
"A little bit, Tez."
"I really like oatmeal."
"Me? Two of my favorite people are here," she said playfully. "I'm great."
"I am. I just don't want to be a warthog."
He laughed slightly, reaching across the table and taking her hand. "What's brought this on?"
"It's my thing."
She laughed in surprise, scooting over slightly. "You good?" she asked, although it was unclear which of them she was asking.
"Thank you for taking care of me."
"I should hope so."
"Thank you. I'm really good at oatmeal."
"Sure," she said agreeably. "We can just all sleep or something."
He went to her, his brows still furrowed.
He looked at her thoughtfully before grinning. "What?"
"It smells good, right?"
"Right. Extra good friends," she said, looking back down at Sariel. "Extra friends."
"Okay... do you want to go to bed?"
"Thank you," Rowan said quietly.
