"I love you too. Sleep."
He had to laugh. "Shush."

He brushed her hair back. "I'm going to write that letter. Okay?"
"We're married, Tez," he said flatly. "How much more bonding do we need?"
"Soft as feathers," she replied softly, turning her hand in his and lacing her fingers through his. "Soft as rabbits. Soft as silk."
He nodded before gesturing to the bed. "You should get more sleep."
He looked up with mock interest.
Her hands slid down his chest to rest at the base of his ribs. "You're plenty soft."
“Are you feeling better?”
“Yeah, maybe not.”
“Sometimes. You don’t have feathers, so I don’t have that problem.”
“I would hate for a miscommunication to occur.”
“Kill a man,” he said quietly.
“Kinda, except feather get in your mouth.”
“I’m glad we’re on the same page.”
He frowned, looking over at her. “We can sleep again?”
She grinned, leaning down to kiss him again, resting her body against his. “They spread out when he’s sleeping.”
“I suppose.”
“Oh, right. Okay.”
