She squinted at him for a moment before moving past him to enter his room, going over to his gramophone.
“Yes, but my leg is asleep.”
“There’s not a soul alive that my mother doesn’t get along with.”
She tilted her head. “I missed my best friend and wanted to see you. Is that bad?”
They got back to the Glen, approaching Eden’s home. “Are you tired?”
He hesitated. “She doesn’t really get along with my father.”
"You certainly look grumpy."
She nodded, moving closer to him as the crowd dispersed.
