He flushed slightly, but looked down at her. "You're just using me for my body."
He pulled away after a moment, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Huh. That felt right."
"It's not great," she told him. "But maybe that's angel-speak for 'I'm the coolest dude around'."
She pointed up at the white lanterns thoughtfully. They were painted in gold and they glowed with a warm light. "Those are pretty."
"You were making out with me literally five hours ago. I'll cut it off, I swear. No more making out."
His whole face lit up and he stood up quickly, crossing the cave in two steps and kissing her deeply.
She laughed deeply, looking up at him. "Did you really just *squee!*ing say 'tada'?"
"Sure," she agreed, slipping his hand in his.
"Avice, please."
He was quiet for a moment. "The dust looks pretty in the light," he said quietly.
She looked up at him, beaming at him affectionately. "We did it!"
She took it, twirling it between her thumb and pointer. "This is my flower," she mused, placing it in his hair, reaching to tuck it behind his ear.
"Wait, no."
"There's no flying dust," he complained, sitting in her chair.
She followed his lead, looking down at their feet uncertainly.
She looked up at him thoughtfully, leaning over to kiss his cheek. "We still don't know where it is."
"Not good enough. Dogs are clearly superior to cats."
"I find that hard to believe."
