Addie brushed his shoulder with her hand as she approached. “Hey, buddy.”
She took it, squeezing his hand. “It was good! I just got out of class.”

She began looking for Sariel, weaving through the crowd.
Her face brightened when she saw him and she stood up. "Hey!"
"Right, right. Of course."
He looked down at her thoughtfully. "I like you too."
She didn't look like she believed him but beckoned him with her head. "Come on. Let's go find Sariel."
She started, sitting up on her elbows, looking for a source of the sound.
“We’re going to get a house!”
“Sure, Pen,” he said easily, rubbing her back.
She raised an eyebrow, observing him. “You sure?”
She was waiting in the grass outside of his class later that day. She was lying on her back, looking up at the clouds, her blonde hair splayed...
“We’re going to do this!”
After a while, he brought her over some eggs on a plate.
She looked at him. “You seem kinda grumpy, Warns. Everything okay?”
