She murmured in her sleep, pulling away from him and turning her back to him.
"Thank God."

"But soon?" she asked, taking another swig.
"Well, no," she protested. "That's not what I was saying."
Eden was curled up next to him in bed, her head against his chest.
"I thought you would disobey the council."
He tried to mimic her, laughing deeply.
"Oh, so you're completely drunk right now."
"And yet you talk to me."
