August was setting a plate in front of Eli, yawning tiredly.
"I'm so upset."
She turned to him and wrapped her arms around his waist, resting her head in the curve of his neck. "I love you too."
He shook his head and went back to work.
"*squee!*."
She flushed slightly and looked back down at the pancake mix embarrassedly.
He looked puzzled, tilting his head almost amusedly. "Alright, Aspen. Go back to sleep."
"Well, you do have options."
She looked over at him, one brow raised expectantly. "It was okay?"
He frowned, looking down at her and kneeling down beside her. "What is it?"
"You accept that?"
"Then you'll ruin this lovely morning," she protested. "It's been lovely, right?"
He laughed slightly, although he seemed a little confused. "You're sleepy. Go back to bed, okay?"
