"So...?"
Her thumb brushed along the curve of his ear and her hand slipped to cup his jaw. "Are you hungry?"
"Do you, now?"
He noticed and frowned. "I mean, I would have told you anyway. I just need his pushing."
"Don't you know everything?"
She laughed slightly, coming over to him and tucking his brown hair behind his ear. "Did you sleep well?"
"I knew it," he said, kissing the top of her head. "I knew we were a good match."
He laughed again slightly. "I told you because Eli told me to."
"What about 'badass'? That was my general nickname."
She was setting his clothing on the foot of the bed and looked up as he woke. "Hi."
"I could doctor your plants."
"Yes, well... Thank Eli. He taught me everything. How to talk, how to cook, how to communicate. It was all him."
"It is."
She pulled her hair back and washed her face, getting completely composed and folding Sam's clothes.
"I could do that."
"And it's just been us ever since," he finished, looking up at her. "He goes out. I don't. We agreed that would be... that would be better."
"You can call me nicknames."
She ran her fingers through his hair before getting up, pulling on some clothing and brushing her hair.
"Mm. I did for a couple of years, but there wasn't really a point to it."
"I mean, ultimately, they were right. My people came and tried to kill Eli, but... I couldn't let them do it. So I killed them instead. All of them."
