She came back into the bedroom, her wet hair dripping the thin straps of her white sundress. She blinked, clearly not expecting him to be awake...
“You’ll meet them one day, I’m sure.”
“What are you going to do now that you can fly?”
Her words made him melt and he looked over at her earnestly. “Really? We’ve only been together for a day.”
She grabbed her clothes quietly, brushing a hand through his hair gently before going back to the bathroom.
"They're very peaceful."
"It's amazingly effective."
"Okay, okay," he said, heading for the door, his eyes excited. "I love you." He stopped, looking flustered. "*squee!*! I mean... You didn't hear that....
She finished about 10 minutes later and wrapped her towel around herself, going to the room to change.
"No, no! They're lovely."
"I annoy him into doing what I want."
"Okay," he said, kissing her cheek. "Okay."
She sighed, kissing his temple before slipping out of bed and going to shower.
"Huh. Okay. Imagine a mouse that's tall and thin with branches in its head."
