She squinted before focusing the beam on the cement ground.
He frowned, looking over his shoulder. "They won't, I don't think..."
She turned the TV on, her blonde hair brushing the skin on his neck as she watched.
"Even so. What if it catches fire?"
He paused before leaning down to kiss her again, his hand on her jaw.
Something that might have been relief or worry crossed her face and she leaned back against him, resting her head on his chest.
"That seems dangerous."
He seemed uncertain, looking around. "You do?"
She sat next to him, sniffling slightly.
"Where?"
He glanced up at her. "You did?"
She coughed into her arm, standing up.
"What do I do with it?"
"Nah. It was rude."
"Let's sit on the couch. The floor isn't the most comfortable."
She considered it, her eyes wide.
He looked down at her with a sigh. "I'm sorry for kissing you without warning yesterday."
She looked over at him, her brows furrowed. "I'm sorry."
She frowned, pouring her focus into it.
