She stood up, taking James from his high chair before heading upstairs.
His hand rested on her jaw. "It's your wedding day."
"I could have never imagined that I would get to be with you."
August considered it. "What if we built windows?" Eli frowned, looking over at him. "That's not really safe, Aug."
"Ugh. Want to play an Earth game?"
"I'm going to put James down for a nap after this."
He laughed slightly, brushing back her hair. "That was fun! I love you too!"
He paused, watching her thoughtfully before holding back a smile, looking back down.
"I do. It would make it less scary in the winter months."
"Well, do we have an ETA?"
"Three ish..."
He paused in surprise before kissing her back, slipping his arms around her waist.
He looked over at her as he pulled out some spaghetti noodles.
