She took it, looking up at him. "I love you."

He opened the door of the house, stretching and yawning.
It would be about ten minutes before she would hear Eli's now-familiar steps approaching the cave.
"You've just taken care of me and you really didn't have to. I just appreciate it."
James laughed deeply at this whole endeavor, chewing on a sandwich piece.
"It's not..." He laughed slightly. "It's not working too well."

He hid in the curtains, fairly conspicuously.
She shrugged again, looking at the ground. "I'm grateful for you, y'know?"
She laughed, kissing James' forehead before setting him back in his highchair.
"I think Lark tried to combine siren and elf dancing..."

"Go, go," he urged.
"Nah. I don't want your brain to erupt or something because of my lack of skills," she said with a shrug.
"It is!" she cooed, dancing with James.
He kissed her cheek before taking her hand and pulling her to the dance floor.
