He followed, slipping his arm around her waist.

She grinned up at him before pulling away. "What are you making?"

"We look out for each other."
He squeezed her hand and kissed the top of her head. "Sure thing."
"Not if the dirt wasn't wet."
She flushed slightly, looking at him. "I love you."
"Uh huh."
"Thanks," he said cheerfully, heading back to the desk. "You have no dust on you, for the record."
"Jesus. What next?"
"I would never lie to you," she said easily.
"I didn't know I had this much power."
Rowan was doing the same. "You got way more cake on me," he said, his voice muffled.
He inclined his head towards her easily, looking perplexed.
"We got our produce."
Her eyes were intense as she watched him. "I can clean the dirt out instantly."
"Huh. Must have been a good kiss."
