"I have my own. Don't fret."
He squinted before gesturing to her. "Come here. I'll show you."
She followed, yawning. "Wow. Long day."
He grinned, kissing her forehead. "I love you."
She paused, giving him a smile. "We'll work on it," she said decisively, opening her door again.
"No, I'm kidding. Eat your breakfast."
"You hold it up to the sun," he explained.
"Yeah," she said tiredly. "That should be good."
"Hm. I'll do it for you, I suppose..."
"Glad enough to smile?" she teased, raising one eyebrow.
"But your waffles look so good."
He returned ten minutes later, cradling eggs delicately. "These ones are unfertilized, so we're good."
"Good one," she said, coming over to him and slipping her arms over his shoulders.
"Except for the talking in front of everyone. Not too pumped for that."
"I don't even care. I made Zaddy smile. Do you know what an achievement that is? I could die happy."
