She beamed, brushing her thumb along his cheekbone. "I'm really glad you're here."

She looked interested, raising one eyebrow as she leaned against the bookshelf. "Did you dance?"
He paused before joining her on her slide, pulling her into his lap and kissing the side of her cheek.
She laughed, reaching up to cup his jaw with her hand. "A friend?"
He wrapped his arms around her waist contentedly.
She seemed delighted by this, closing the book and holding it to her chest. "Really? I used to dance when I was younger."
He followed.
Her eyes widened. "Wait, really?!"
He grinned. "I love you too."
"Great!"
"I'm taller. My legs practically touch the edge of the slide as is."
"Thank you for doing this. Where are the babies?"
"Don't play this game like this."
She beamed, pulling a book down from the shelf. "Really?"
"Uh-uh. I'm taller, so it's impossible for you to win."
She watched him lovingly, reaching up to brush his hair behind his ear. "You're so sweet..."
