He looked up at her worshipfully before exhaling. "We should probably go, right?"
They got inside and the mouse frowned. "That's boring." Dali powered up, his yellow eyes glowing. "Good evening, Aspen. How was your day?"
He nodded, turning to look back at her. "Will you help me with what to wear?"
"Are you concerned about your appearance?"
She looked around at the students, running her hand through her hair.
He nodded slowly, opening his eyes. "I'm sorry I made everything so difficult."
"Have you seen it?"
His fingers traced his writing, and h seemed to be deep in thought. "What time is the celebration tonight?"
"And? I said I would clean it off."
She nodded, looking around anxiously.
He wrapped his arms around her, closing his eyes.
"All I'm saying is that it could be something."
He stood up after a moment, taking his coffee with him as he headed over to the counter, looking over his notebook.
"What do you mean?"
"What do I do?"
He grabbed her hand, looking up at her. "I'm so sorry."
"Dead things."
He reached over and ran his fingers through her hair, taking a sip of his coffee.
"You got to choose to not have the syrup."
"Damn it," she muttered under her breath.
