She exhaled slightly, taking in his scent. "I really missed you, Francis."
Rowan was stretched out, his arm under his head.
"What are you doing?"
She paused before resting her head in the curve of his neck. "Things will be okay again, right?"

He came out and joined her about five minutes later.
"Why are you so sad? We're back here."
He followed soon afterwards, pulling up the sheets.
He closed his eyes, stretching out in the early evening sun.
She looked up at him with a frown, her silvery eyes melancholy. "I love you too."
He brushed her back slowly, rubbing out the knots with his fingertips.
He frowned but shrugged slightly, looking up at the ceiling.
She frowned, wrapping one arm around his waist. "Don't be sad."
He kissed the top of her head, brushing her hair back. "We're all good.
He looked over at her. "What is it?"
She frowned and came over to him, her arms crossed. "What is it?"
He laughed, pulling her to his chest. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"Still."
