Separate names with a comma.
"Yeah," she said dryly, sighing as they entered the cafe. "I'm sure."
His grin grew wider, completely delighted with her response, and he reached up, brushing her hair out of her face.
"It must be really weird for you. The person you love is gone, and a stranger is in the same body."
"I don't know," she said quietly, sighing slightly as she propped her chin up on his shoulder. "I've been out of it lately."
"If I were you, I mean. I get it. He's prettier than I am, isn't he?"
He leaned into her touch, watching her adoringly, his violet eyes tracing her features. "I love you," he said quietly, giving her a shy smile.
"I don't know. It's weird," he said thoughtfully. "I don't know what to do with it."
She sighed, coming over to him from behind and wrapping her arms around his waist, resting her forehead against his back.
"It's fine. I get it. I would love him more too."
He kissed her back, his hands resting gently on her knees.
He laughed slightly, shrugging. "It is weird. It feels a bit like I'm someone you're having an affair with, even though I'm still me, if that...
She listened, her shoulders dropping as she relaxed.
"It is true. Man's best friend has replaced woman."
"Very rude, draesling," he said earnestly, picking her up and setting her gently on the counter top.
He looked over at her, his brows furrowed as they entered the town. "You love me, right?"
She frowned, but began to undo Diana's braids, her thin fingers slipping between the locks of red hair.
"Even though you tried to kill me and are now trying to replace me."
He laughed slightly, tilting his head to give her better access. "I see. You're using me for my words."
He headed back towards the town, looking down the sand.
