She laughed slightly, standing with one hand on the table. "Yeah. It's a shame."
He didn't really seem to notice, shifting sleepily. "Hm...? You're back."
"Clearly not."
She exhaled slowly, looking down at the ground. "Yeah. I'm sorry. I want to hug you and kiss you, but..."
He shifted slightly, his eyes fluttering open.
“Then leave me be.”
Her brow furrowed. “Are you suggesting that it hasn’t?”
Jack was asleep when she returned, his head lolled back.
"No, my job performance has nothing to do with you. Look, do you have anything better to do than to torture me like this?"
