She peppered him with kisses. "I love you."
"A party with two people sounds weird."

She raised an eyebrow before tackling him back onto the bed.
"I'm... I'm not sure. I'm not an avid partier."
She kissed his sternum before straightening up, pulling away. Her eyes seemed misty, but she hastily swiped them away, heading up the stairs.
"Oh, good."
She sighed, taking his hand. "Some other time, I suppose. Come on."
"Yes! Let's do it!"
She seemed tearful, nodding slightly to herself. "Okay. I love you."
"You're my favorite."
"We could do that. But you just got dressed."
"Party!"
She hesitated before coming down the stairs to him, wrapping her arms around his waist and taking a deep breath. "Okay," she said quietly.
