She tilted her head before doing so nervously.
He hesitated. "I'll just have water."
"Oh, so I'm not your best friend?"
She glanced at him. "Like practice?"
She wrapped an arm around his neck, the other resting on his jaw.
She looked embarrassed. "Not really."
He opened his menu, relaxing as the waiter came by and asked for their drinks.
"Didn't you say the same thing earlier?"
She laughed somewhat embarrassedly. "Sorry for making you hold my hand."
She flushed slightly, opening an eye to look at him with a smile. "I love you too."
She did the same, folding her hands as she observed him. "I don't know. I've never really done this before."
He pulled away, taking a seat. "I love you."
"Doubt it. I'm, like, your best friend."
She squeezed his hand before letting go, folding her hands behind her back. "What did you do with the flower crown you made me?"
She closed her eyes, relaxing.
She gave him a small smile. "Yeah."
He smiled gently against her lips, his thumb brushing her jaw.
