She was quiet, resting her head on his chest. "How did you sleep?"
"You are."
“I think so,” he said with a shrug. “I’m having a hard time placing it.”
Her hand came up to cup his jaw.
He gave her a sweet grin.
“Don’t say my name like that; you know that I would if I could.”
“You’re very bold.”
He was making coffee, his shoulders slumped as he worked.
She gave him a slow smile. "Gabriel Cael, I have a huge crush on you."
"Cracked on Aubrey's head, please," he said primly, turning to look at her.
"No," she said tiredly, shaking her head. "I couldn't."
"We just barely told each other we loved each other."
He blinked before heading away, going to the kitchen.
She rolled her eyes, kissing the tip of his nose. "Maybe."
"Scrambled, please."
"Yeah, Francis," she said after a moment.
"Completely."
