"The main room is over there," she replied, gesturing. "You can leave whenever you'd like."
He laughed. "That's fair."
Francis turned heading out to the door.
She looked hesitant, continuing on without saying much else, as if she were nervous to.
She sighed, resting her hand on his arm as she relaxed.
"You can stay. I'm not against it."
"Is that supposed to be part of the joke or an insult?"
He gave a nod, standing. "It is. Thank you for your time."
She paused, pulling her hand back, flushing slightly. She turned, looking down. "You look cute."
Her eyes fluttered open and she rubbed an eye. "..Jack?"
"I don't know about that."
He blew a raspberry at her.
"Yes, that would be good."
She was gentle, placing the flower behind his ear carefully.
She shifted, sighing slightly.
She took a small sip. "You don't have to, but you can."
He stuck his tongue out. "Nuh, you."
"It depends on what you have to offer, really. Military would be quite helpful."
She took it and tilted her head, observing it thoughtfully. "It would look pretty in your hair. May I?"
