There was a pause before she opened the door, dark circles under her eyes.
"Like what?"
She closed her eyes, resting her forehead on his lips. "Come on. Let's just sleep, okay?"
He waited for a long time, his lips a straight line.
"I had a bad dream," she said, her voice falsely cheery. "So I had to come in here again. It's alright."
"I guess."
She laughed easily, her fingers curling in his shirt. "You're cute."
He leaned back in the couch pillows, falling silent.
There was a silence for a moment before her small voice came from out of the closet. "...yeah?"
"You're just listing off things you see."
"Is that okay?"
He laughed sheepishly, running a hand through his blond hair.
She stood up, not wanting to wake him and went into the closet, closing the door.
"What else?"
She laughed warmly, cupping his jaw in her hands. "I see. Am I your girlfriend?"
"You weren't a fan of my awesome joke?"
He looked up at her tiredly, obviously unsure what to do. "You go on ahead. I'll come in in a minute."
She tensed suddenly and her eyes flew open, and for several moments, she sat still.
"What are you thinking about?" he asked quietly.
"Are we dating, then? Is that a thing?"
