She grinned, looking up at him with her bright eyes. "We have."
"Oh?"
She considered him before kissing his neck. "Huh."
It was sweeter than the other pastry, a more subtle flavor.
He pulled her down to him. “Don’t go.”

She brushed his earlobe with her fingers. “How early do we have to be up in the morning?”
She slid her plate over to him with a small smile.
Her lips found his and she laughed, running her fingers through his hair.
"Sure. Have some of mine."
He flushed slightly but rolled his eyes. "Thank you."
"It's alright though."
Her nose brushed his and she dimpled slightly. "Even if you don't let me touch your ears."
She was grinning, resting her head on her hand. "You do?"
"Yes, but you're biased."
She laughed, leaning her head back. "We are."
She slipped into his lap, draping her arms over his shoulders and kissing his forehead. "I love you."
It was distinctly fruity, with a sweet icing that crumbled slightly when he bit into it.
