She kissed his cheek, resting her head in the curve of his neck. "Are you ready to go?"
"I can leave if you want me to."
She laughed gently, her nose brushing his skin. "I love you too."

"I mean... you don't have to. What are you thinking about?"

She glanced back at him. "Your room. Right?"
She slipped her arms around his neck, kissing his cheek lightly.
"Huh. I trust you."
He was quiet for a moment, brushing his fingers through her hair soothingly. "I'm not going to let anyone hurt you."
"Thank you for doing all this for me."
"You're fond of me!" she teased, folding her arms as she headed towards his room.
She hummed quietly, her voice soft and bright.
"We're both hunted."
