She took his hand. “You did so well.”

“Not really,” he murmured. “I was dozing.”
He nodded, putting his hands in his pockets.
She grinned at him, nudging him playfully. “Jerk.”
Poppy followed, looking around cautiously.
He said nothing more, still keeping his distance as he walked, looking down at his feet.
His eyes fluttered open, and he looked down at her. “...Av?”
“Alright. Where should I wait?”
“Both.”
“Yes,” she said, reading the documents in the folder. “Elda will escort you out.” The nervous looking woman from earlier opened the door.
He looked at her, his brows furrowed as he stuck his hands in his pockets. “Thank you.”
He murmured in her sleep.
“I can stay if you want me to.”
She laughed out loud. “You’re an ass.”
“Fine. I will consider it and communicate with your leaders my decision. Is that all?”
