The woman returned, gesturing ahead of her. “She’ll see you now.”
He seemed perplexed, squinting up at her. “You... you want to get back together?”
He looked up at her. “You don’t have to get up if you don’t want to...”
His frown deepened. “You should really rest...”
“Next round you won’t be so lucky, though.”
She nodded, leaning against him. “Good. Thank you.”
He blinked, peering up at her in confusion. “What do you mean?”

He looked up at her, running a hand through his hair. “Maybe I am. I haven’t really been taking care of myself lately.”
