She took his hand, holding it close to her. He would be able to feel her heart beating.
"I don't like it," she said slowly. "Especially because they're sirens."
He frowned. "Fine."
Her eyes fluttered closed and leaned into his touch.
"Did you know?"
"But you should."
She sat up, shifting so she could put her head on his lap.
She sighed, resting her head on his shoulder. "Aubrey and Natalia have been visiting sirens, I guess."
"C'mon. Just do it anyways."
She caught his gaze, flushing slightly. "I love you."
She brushed her hair back gently before going and sitting beside Jack.
"You should do something abour your forehead."
She kissed his cheek before resting her hesd on the side of the couch.
"Just thinking." She patted her shoulder. "I'm gonna go sit now."
He didn't say anything, but she could only assume that the words made him relax a bit.
"A compliment?"
"Hm.."
"It's fine."
She flushed. "What does that mean?"
"Fine. I won't talk to Nat about it."
