She rested her legs over his lap again. "Why's that?"

She nodded, sitting beside him again. "I do. It'll be better once you can come."
"..Where have you heard them?"
He blinked, pulling his jacket on again rather quickly. "Doesn't matter to me."
"I know."
She nodded, her eyes bright. "And with the lotus, it will be even prettier."
Her expression softened and her voice quieted. "No way. Your dad has the prettiest voice in the world."
He sighed, sitting down and taking off his jacket. He observed his arm with a frown, bending his fingers.
"Yeah, but the flowers weren't bloomed, then."
"You can't listen to them Aubrey.. It's not good."
