She looked up at him, and the sense of trust even seemed to surprise her. "Would you?"

He looked away again. "I guess."
She nodded slowly. "O-Okay."
"Still.."
"I'm sorry. I didn't know."
"It doesn't seem.. great."
He remained there quietly before pulling away. "I'm distracting you."
He shuddered. "It wasn't you. I thought it was you."
Avice seemed hesitant, her brows furrowing slightly. "Huh.."
"Mm," he murmured, burying his face in her shoulder.
He looked back at her with a melancholy expression. "I'm sorry."
He sighed, his touch warm. "I love you."
He wasn't looking at her. He was looking at his folded hands with an odd expression on his face.
