"Sorry, babe," she teased. "I do it cause I love you. "
"Yeah." She grinned. "What would you recommend for dessert?"
Francis smiled slightly as he hurried to see her.
She took his hands but shook her head. "Surprise."
"Why thank you. Took some thinking."
He kissed her forehead. "Let's go see her."
She shook her head, standing up. "No going in the kitchen."
"Dessert?"
Francis sighed in relief as soon as it was done. He suspected he bit his tongue a bit too hard.
"Shush. No."
She shrugged. "I don't mind."
Francis turned his head slightly, frowning. He knew what had to be done.
"A surprise."
She held his hand, looking around curiously.
Francis held out his arm, biting his tongue.
"Nope."
She smiled slightly, shaking her head. "Weirdo. Let's get some food."
He said nothing, holding her close.
"I'm making you a surprise."
