She frowned, cocking her head as she watched him.
She did as well, burying her face in his neck.
"Maybe he's just clumsy."
"Anything?"
She ran her fingers through his hair, breathing quietly.
"Is he new?"
She did as he asked, her eyes brightening. "What did you do while I was gone?"
She sighed, relaxing. "Okay. I'll stay here."
"That sounds.. annoying?"
She nodded slowly. "A little bit. Thank you."
She blinked before looking flustered and pulling away slightly. "I'm sorry. I didn't know you were awake."
"But good?"
She shrugged. "It was kind of like our community. A bit more rural."
She shifted slightly, her thumb rubbing the side of his neck before she moved to murmur quietly in his ear. "I love you."
"I'm good. How was your day?'
She blinked, shrugging. "It wasn't that interesting."
She frowned slightly, holding him close.
His eyes fluttered and he looked up at her. "Poppy!"
She grinned at him. "I missed you too."
