He kissed her cheek before standing up, stretching his arms.

He sat down. "Do you want to go out Diana to bed while I start the cookies?"
She smiled against his lips, her hands on his shoulders. "I love you."
She hesitated. "Nothing, I suppose."
He chuckled. "And you were asleep."
She stopped, looking up at him. "Yeah?"
"That's not fair.."
He went to check, sighing as he found her. He reached down, kissing her forehead.
She nodded, turning to go. "I know."
