He kissed her cheek. "Alright. Then I suppose I'll have to get going."
"Well I thought it was just cause you're super smart and well educated or something cause you're a scientist, I think."
She chuckled warmly, reaching up languidly and brushing back his hair. "Hey."
He kissed her cheek. "Only if you want to."
She smiled at him, though her eyes seemed annoyed. "Thank you for telling me."
She glanced up at him. "Mm?"
"Well.. I'm sorry about the braid."
"Of course not.. Forgive me if I'm being rude."
She put an arm around him, her fingertips grazing his skin.
"I could try to fix it, if I knew how to braid."
"I know that.. but they seem frightening.. With all the fog and such."
She gave him a light kiss, trying not to wake him.
"She took it out."
"These people frighten me a bit."
She rested her head again, relaxing.
"What was being said?"
Her eyes fluttered open, and she shifted, turning to look around sleepily.
He shook his head, folding his hands. "Surprisingly not."
