"Why shouldn't you sleep as well?"
"It's your fault."
He chuckled. "Same."
She frowned. "Why?"
"I am," she confirmed, petting the cats head.
He kissed her cheek. "Sleep well?"
She smiled gently. "That's good."
She sighed, lying back. "I am head over heels for you, you know."
He walked over and gently kissed the back of her neck. "Hey there."
"I love you, okay? That will never be a lie. I'll always be here. Always."
She hesitated before sighing in defeat. "I can't stand how you win me over like that."
He got up, pulling on pajama pants before heading into the kitchen.
She used her other hand now, silent before leaning to kiss him.
She pet the kitten. "What're you gonna do about it?"
He woke up a bit later, his eyes fluttering.
She pulled away to look at him, her eyes adoring. She sighed, her hand cupping his jaw. "I want to help when I can."
She glanced at him, her lips pursed, almost as if challenging him.
His expression relaxed and he sighed.
She buried her face in the crook of his neck. "I'll try to understand then.. Maybe I'll be able to actually help?"
