He stood up. "I'll take the bowls."
She went quiet. "What?"
He brushed back her hair. "What do you mean?"
He nodded. "Of course."
She shifted into his arms. "So, what happened?"
He chuckled, catching her hand. "Teasing."
She grumbled stubbornly before glancing at him, her expression softening. "Fine."
He kissed her cheek. "I guess I'm second on people you love most."
She sighed. "It only hurts a little."
He gave her a smile. "Thank you."
