She looked up at her for a moment before looking at him again. "When will he wake up?"

She leaned back. "Yeah.. A bit."
"That was the worst one yet, I've got to be honest with you."
"I know.. I don't want to argue with him either. He was just worried."
"Let's just feed the birds, okay?"
She chuckled. "True."
"Poppy. Please."
"He's already been through a lot. He doesn't need me to pester him over silly things."
"Poppy, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."
A look of resigned concern crossed her face, and her fingertips brushed his collarbone as she sighed. "I shouldn't be so rough on him."
"Poppy, I do. I care about you more than anything."
She began removing his shirt, her touch gentle.
"Poppy. Poppy, c'mon."
She hesitated, but nodded. "Of course."
"Poppy, please."
She squeezed his hand. "She's not doing anything to hurt you. I promise."
