He looked up at her, noticing her smile. Despite her familiarity, he would seem unfamiliar and distant.

"Then you're biased."
He nodded, folding his hands. "When are they going to fix the wings?"
He chuckled. "You're exagerating."
"So are yours."
He looked over at Briar, giving a slight shake of his head. "No thank you."
"I think you have told me once or twice before."
He nodded slowly, stepping in.
He chuckled, offering his hand. "Perfect."
Sam was there, strands of dark hair in his eyes before he brushed them away, barely meeting her gaze. "Hi. Sorry."
