Sam sighed, tilting his head. "There is no such thing as the boogeyman."
"What about your family?"
He coughed, laughing slightly. "Is this what tag is?"
He shook his head. "No. Why?"
His eyes widened in surprise, and took a quick step back. "Oh my goodness-"
"Fine."
He pursed his lips with a nod before looking up. "What are they doing?"
"You shouldn't doubt something that's true."
He tilted his head slightly. "Do you think?"
"I have already fallen in love with you, Poppy."
He rolled his eyes, obviously playful. "That's embarrassing for me."
"You're ridiculous, but good job."
He nodded, handing it to her.
He laughed warmly. "You did it."
"No, not yet. I haven't been here long enough, I think."
He grinned, taking a sip before nodding. "Good work."
He pulled out a slip of paper. "Yeah. It's right here."
He watched with a smile, an eyebrow raised.
Sam held his folded hands in front of him, watching the ground thoughtfully as they walked.
He gave a solemn nod. "Good. You do me honor."
