"I regret nothing!"
She put a hand to her head. "Woe is me."
"Well you certainly could try." He stepped closer to Poppy. "Let's go."
"It tastes good!"
"You're just being mean. Admit it."
"No," he replied easily, though his anger would be clear to Poppy. "I made a promise that I wouldn't beat anyone else up."
Tez was still there, her eyes wide and excited as she looked at him over an empty mug. "I tried coffee!"
"You already understand."
"Not you," he interjected. "My lovely wife and I would like to leave."
(Yooop!)
"Mocking my illiteracy."
Francis chuckled lightly, before pulling Poppy back. "Let's just take a step outside, yeah?"
She grinned, moving over to kiss his forehead quickly before retreating back to the kitchen.
She sighed, crossing her arms. "Are you mocking my illiteracy?"
"I did," Francis replied, his voice polite. "And if you even think about starting anything, I know you'll end up regretting it."
She nodded, plopping in a single sugar cube. "See you, then."
"Well, yeah. You know what I meant."
He waved her off, clearly frustrated. "No, no. This isn't acceptable. Nobody calls her that. You're an entitled *squee!*." He took the popcorn and...
"You're here," she said. "I would rather stay than go."
"She's part of you, though."
