She took his hand and intwined their fingers. "But it's over now."
She slipped into the bed next him, pulling away the pillow gently. "Did I offend you?"
"It is," he agreed. "I'll be able to use stairs again."
She looked back at him before laying next to him. "That wasn't so hard."
She shrugged. "I didn't know that. Sorry."
"No. Emmett said I could do what I had to at home."
"I'm glad. I have a lot of nice things to say about you."
She looked completely confused. "Aren't we close?"
He kissed the back of her hand. "I know."
"I'm just saying nice things, babe."
She blinked. "..So? It's just you."
"They don't hurt at all," he said brightly. "It's nice."
"Mm.. That's good. You're doing good."
She squinted at him, adjusting the shirt. "What? I'm just changing?"
"Fine, fine. I won't."
She chuckled. "I'm sure you're doing great. Hopefully it doesn't hurt too bad."
She grinned excitedly, opening one of his drawers and pulling out a shirt before changing into it there.
