"That is not what I meant. Also, mice are not cute."
"Why is it invalid?" *** She yawned. "You don't have to thank me. It's just what I'm supposed to do."

He kept her close, his touch gentle.
"What would you consider cute things?"
"Spontaneous isn't always bad." *** "Even then."
"I gamble from time to time. I wouldn't bet."
He flushed, his hand running through her hair. "I like you too."
"But.. I'm not doing cute things.."
"But they're both adjectives." *** She smiled slightly. "Just how I like it."
"Definitely not."
He shrugged embarrasedly. "I like it."
"I'm not!"
He leaned back. "You started it." *** Her eyes fluttered, and tiredly glanced up at him before pulling him closer.
"Yes. Of course."
