His eyes brightened when he saw her. "Val! I'm home!" *** She folded hers in half, continuing to eat it.
She squinted at him. "Worry less."
He looked down hesitantly. "I suppose I could stay for a bit."
He nodded, his hand brushing her hair gingerly. "It does."
Landon came home awhile later, looking tired as he set down the camera gear by the door. *** "Hmph. Then I'll eat it like that too."
