"Ours is red," he replied. "Crimson red."
She stood up, turning and pushing him onto the couch, a small smirk on her face.
"..What?"
He placed a small bandage on the spot her drew from, giving a small nod. "It is. It looks very different from human blood."
"Don't make me start again," she warned.
"C'mon. You did trick me, after all."
His eyes widened in interest. "It's over. No worries."
"No."
"Poppyyyy."
He gently pressed the needle in, glancing up at her with curiosity as he began to draw blood. It was done quite soon, and he pulled it back out....
"Bad."
"I love you!"
"Just like a pinch," he said easily. "Maybe not even at all. Don't worry."
He wiped the spot on her arm with disinfectant. It would be cold. He looked up at her, his head cocked. "This might hurt a little bit."
"No. Stop that."
"I do!"
"It's safe," he said easily. "We don't have to."
"Anyways."
"Nah. I still love you."
