He put an arm around her. "Yeah. Let's do that."
"She's both of ours. That's better."
He looked to the ceiling. "Alright.. Thank you." *** She laughed brightly, resting her head on his chest. "Nooo!"
He sat back on the couch, his eyes warm. "What movie are you thinking?"
"Yeah. Babies need more sleep, so I suppose that's a good thing. Plus she's your daughter, so.."
He hesitated. "I see.. You'll come back some time, right?" *** She chuckled, wrapping her arms around him. "You're alive!"
He nodded, getting a glass of water. "If you say so."
She nodded, pouring the same in another cup before setting the kettle down. She brought them over. "Here you are."
"I suppose I should have enjoyed the presence when I could, huh?' *** She pulled it all off at once, a small smirk on her face.
He took it. "Thanks. Want anything to drink?"
She chuckled, pouring the water into her cup with the tea. "Would you like some?"
He looked down. "Oh.. Okay." *** She laughed adoringly. "You're just fine."
He chuckled. "Hm. Well.. Want to go pick out a movie?"
"Scared of a little noise?" she teased playfully.
